Wakfu Previews New Islands Coming In Update 1.74

Turn-based tactical MMORPG Wakfu is getting a big update soon and Ankama is itching to show off just what it’s all about. Update 1.74 will bump up the level cap from 216 to 230 and will introduce five new islands in Shustuft Crust where five new monster families await, each with their own quests, dungeons, and gear sets.

“Explore forgotten corners of the Shustuft Crust, far from the prying eyes of Rushu, who's more interested in gazing at his own navel (thrilling for a while, no doubt, but there's such a thing as overdoing it). From renegade Shushus, to disorganized Shushus, to demons so crazy they're fit to be untied, there's tons to discover – in the visuals, story and mechanics, to be sure, but on an intellectual and emotional level as well.”

The new dev blog on the official site offers descriptions for each of the new islands, namely: the Kingdom of Despair, Void Spiral, Citadel of Horror, Dementya, and the Route of the Dead.

Ankama has yet to announce a release date for Update 1.74 but it’s now in beta testing for those who want to check it out.
